Eligibility (selected highlights)
The required qualifications vary by post — key eligibility points are:
- Scientist / Engineer: ME/M.Tech/MSc in relevant discipline (e.g., Machine Design) with minimum marks (often 60% or equivalent CGPA). For BE/BTech in Mechanical, a minimum average of 65% (or equivalent CGPA) may be required for certain posts.
- Technical Assistant: First-class engineering diploma from a recognized institute.
- Scientific Assistant: First-class BSc in Chemistry (or relevant subject); or first-class degree in Fine Arts (Photography) / Visual Arts (Cinematography) for specific posts.
- Library Assistant 'A': First-class degree from a recognized university.
- Radiographer 'A': First-class diploma in Radiography (minimum 2 years) from a recognized institution.
- Technician 'B' / Draftsman 'B': SSLC (or equivalent) + ITI/NTC/NAC in the relevant trade.
- Cook / Fireman / LVD Driver: Minimum SSLC/Matriculation or equivalent as specified.
- Nurse 'B': First-class 3-year diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution and registration with the state nursing council.
Pay Scales (indicative)
- Scientist / Engineer: Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)
- Technical Assistant: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
- Scientific Assistant: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
- Library Assistant 'A': Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
- Radiographer 'A': Level 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)
- Technician 'B' / Draftsman 'B': Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100)
- Cook / Fireman / LVD Driver: Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200)
- Nurse 'B': Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
Age Limits (as specified)
- Scientist / Engineer: 18 – 30 years
- Technical Assistant, Library Assistant 'A', Radiographer 'A', Technician 'B', Draftsman 'B', Cook, LVD 'A', Nurse 'B': 18 – 35 years
- Fireman 'A': 18 – 25 years
Application Fee
Applicants are required to pay a processing fee of ₹750. Refund policy: At the time of the written exam this fee will be refunded in full to women, SC/ST, PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) and other eligible categories as specified. For other candidates, ₹500 will be refunded (details in notification).
